Kuapa Kokoo is a Fairtrade-certified cocoa farmers organisation in Ghana.The organisation was established in 1993 by a group of cocoa farmers from Ghana with support from Twin Trading, Christian Aid, and The Body Shop. They are based in Ghana and currently have over 100,000 registered members.

Kuapa Kokoo is a Fairtrade/Rainforest Alliance Certified Company.

Cocoa is vital to
the future of development.

Launched in December 2024, this plan focuses on improving farmers' incomes, safeguarding the environment, and sustaining cocoa production. A key component is the establishment of a cocoa processing company to add value to raw cocoa beans. The company will produce cocoa butter, cocoa liquor, and cocoa powder for export and local consumption. The company will also produce chocolate for the local market.

This initiative aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of smallholder farmers by promoting income diversification and sustainable agricultural practices.

In partnership with Grow Ahead, Kuapa Kokoo has planted 180,000 trees to convert cocoa farms into biodiverse agroforestry systems, mitigating the adverse effects of climate change on cocoa production
