Cocoa & Forest Initiative 2020 Progress Report Guidelines

Kuapa Kokoo Cooperative Cocoa Farmers and Marketing Union Limited produces and mobilizes approximately 6% of Ghana’s cocoa beans. With a total registered membership of 103,928 and an average active membership within our supply chain of 70000 members. We believe our activities and products have environmental impact and hence our resolved to the Cocoa and Forest Initiative (CFI) commitments of zero deforestation, forest protection and restoration, sustainable production, Community and social inclusion

As a farmer organization that produces cocoa, the sustainability of our product is vital and hence the need for climate change mitigation measures and traceable cocoa supply chain devoid of deforestation and child labour

Kuapa Kokoo and our partners have thus signed unto the CFI commitments to support our members provide the enabling environment for cocoa production. We have set up targets in addition to our partners commitments to ensure we have 100% traceable cocoa supply chain

This report highlights Kuapa Kokoo’s targets and progress on our commitment towards ending deforestation and promote forest restoration and protection in the cocoa supply chain
