Three years ago Joan and Derek Pike from Reading in United Kingdom (UK) came to Ghana and visited one of Kuapa Kokoo’s villages i.e. Amankwatia in the Offinso District.
The community has benefited from a school building and teachers bungalow from the Fairtrade premium and support from The Co-op in UK. However Amankwatia society lacks access to portable drinking water and toilet facility. With the help of Joan and Derek Pike, the Wesley Church in UK has donated millions of Ghanaian cedis to build a portable drinking water and an 8 seat KVIP toilet facility. On
22nd of January, 2015 the project has been commissioned in loving memory of the Wesley Church in UK.
Kuapa Kokoo farmers wish to share their heart felt gratitude to all who donated towards this project and to the Wesley Methodist Church in Reading UK. The school children of Amankw
atia are also grateful to the Junior church or Sunday school children in the Wesley Church in Reading. We wish to acknowledge Reverend David Shaw, Dr Stephen Appiah , Rev Patrick Stonehewer from UK and Dr Kofi Marfo and Rev Atta Boafo from Offinso in Ghana for their support.
GOD RICHLY BLESS YOU ALL
