Kuapa Kokoo Farmers Trust

KKFT was formed in 1996 to receive all general funds meant for Kuapa Kokoo Farmers Union. Most of the funds received by the Trust are obtained from premiums earned from the sale of cocoa on the Fairtrade market.

The Trust is regulated by a trust deed and managed by a Board of Trustees composed of farmers’ representatives and representatives of foreign partners who contribute.

Premiums received by the Trust are used in undertaking various projects for the KKFU after approval by the Annual General Meeting. Over the years, the premiums have been used in providing these projects to improve the lot of her members:

Boreholes

Schools

Income generating facilities

Mobile Clinics

Farmer Field Schools
